Licensing        The Thistle Vintage Bus Bar requires an occasional liquor license to trade. These are applied for in each local government area via the local licensing board. As a general rule, these license applications must be submitted at least 28 days prior to your event.   Our team will ensure that licensing requirements are met for your event.

Location      Some routes and therefore some locations may prove a challenge as height and weight restrictions on roads can often mean a longer way round for a double decker bus. Our team are happy to discuss the suitability of your intended location with you, ensuring that routes and siting are viable.

Power  The Thistle Vintage Bus Bar operates from a quiet generator, which ensures that power is always available and avoids health and safety issues with power cables etc. around the vehicle.

Our Staff; All of our staff are trained in licensing and the sale of alcohol. Many of our team are also personal license holders.

Wearing smart uniforms in red and black ensures that whatever your event, our staff are appropriately attired.

At each event, the Conductor will ensure that all the systems, safety and operation of The Thistle Vintage Bus Bar meets our expectations and yours.

Bus Hire - by hiring our bus for your event we can provide;

• The Thistle Vintage Bus Bar with full offer of wine, spirits, packaged beer and soft drinks.
• Disposable glassware, ice and other bar accessories.
• Sufficient Staff to ensure swift service.
• Full refrigerated trailer providing pre-chilled, back up stock.
• White PVC paddock fencing – outlining the “licensed” area, and adding to the party feel of your event.
• Chrome patio tables and chairs with matching red parasols.
• Topiary trees on the entrance to the bus

We are happy to discuss any additional personal requests that makes your event exactly as you want it

Dry Hire – in certain circumstances an event host will wish to hire The Thistle Vintage Bus Bar ONLY –
This means that all stock, staff and bar equipment, ice etc. will be provided by the hirer.

Our Bus will attend your venue, with a Conductor on board, who will ensure that the systems, and safety of the bar are operational and secure.
